A message from Old Man River

Hello people,

Off the back of playing for the Dalai Lama recently, I'll be embarking on a winter tour (starting this Friday in Brisbane) with the epic title; 1000 Cranes For Japan!

This tour will support the campaign we launched few weeks back with the intention of making a thousand origami paper cranes as a symbolic well-wishing gesture for our good friends in disaster stricken Japan. If you haven't checked the website with all the details yet here it is www.1000cranesforjapan.net
If you wish to support this cause you will have a chance to bring your already made Origami crane/s to the gig or make one on the night. By the end of the tour we will be collecting all of them and delivering them to Japan.

The tour will take shape in a special format, more stripped back and intimate....this should suit the cuddly wintery vibe were experiencing at the moment. The wonderfully talented and hilarious Cam Bruce will be accompanying me on keys each night and I'm sure we'll end up getting some special guests up on stage in every city... special surprise already instore for Sydney folks, but alas I've said too much already...
The brilliant Cameron and Gabrielle from Dead Letter Chorus will be main supports for all shows. If you haven't seen them yet they are ridiculously good!! They will play in a rare stripped back mode as well so this promises to be a great night!

Also wanted to call out to any of you who posses any exceptional music talents (that verge on the bizarre even...) to come and join me on stage for my song 'In This World' which is the soundtrack for the cranes campaign. What I'm after is unorthodox/non-conventional instrumentalists to apply only please. For example if you play the harp/ theremin/ Koto/ Shamisen/an instrument you built yourself or any Japanese or Indian instrument we would love to jam with you on the night!!
So please contact us before the shows and send us some video footage or audio recording of yourself playing the instrument. We'll get you and a bunch of friends tickets for the show. The song is in the key of C btw... good luck!

Hope to see you at the shows!

Peace & Love
Ohad
